Little Boy Wonder
little boy wonder
his face all grim and sullen
grotesque, the mask of love and hate
a beguiling mix of honey and poison
balled-up fists
trembling with rage
so eloquent the gesture
so pure in intent
the hot steam
how grateful he was
for hiding his childish tears
the shame, oh the shame!
his sister had bested him again
but enough was enough
that was when he decided
there would be shame again
no more... no more

please do come near
coz I need your touch
this pain is too much
for your little brother to bear"
